Yeah for Mountains and Friends!

We just had the funnest weekend I think we've had all year.
Our friends invited us to their family cabin. It's somewhere through Oakley, not quite to Smith Morehouse Reservoir. We went with 4 families, 8 adults and 11 kids, just Friday to Saturday. The moms and kids carpooled up in the morning and the dads joined us in the evening after work.

Todd, Josie, Andy, Adam, and Amelia rode with myself and Lindsay K.

The cabin was awesome. It had so many different things for the kids to do the parents had almost total freedom! Minus the 3 one year olds, but even they were great.
There was hot water, electricity, and even direcTV. It was perfect.
Each family had at least one bedroom, which was super nice for the kids.
Todd and Josie didn't miss a nap!

Josie and Carter playing house.

We were in such a beautiful place. Kids loved the swing set, of course.
Todd and Andy

Todd was so happy to be outside. He loved everything about the trip.

Acea, Ashton, Josie playing on the hammock. Sam and Meredith in back.
I'm surprised that hammock lasted, the kids were rough!

Out on a walk.
Adam was a ladies man, he was always holding someones hand.

Todd is way to big for that pack!

Haley stayed at the Cabin while Wyatt napped.

Josie and Bea rediscovering they are both 4yrs old.

What troopers!

Beautiful Bea! She kept modeling for me.

Love these girls and their blue eyes!
Josie & Beatrice
This pic makes it hard to believe they are the same age!

Sam was NOT happy to walk.

At about 5:30pm the dads arrived. We had dinner and played for hours.

Hanging out to a movie before the kiddos head to bed.
Let the games begin!

Us old folks eventually went to bed, but not without singing John Denver, Scorpions, and Eagles to the guitar, laughing until our sides hurt, and thoroughly embarrassing ourselves.

Love waking up to a hot breakfast! Thanks Haley and James!
All the kids chowing down.

And it's the parents turn to eat.

Acea, Bea, Andy
Love Bea's hair! Ha, it was morning after all. I think mine looked the same.

Andy & Sam

The kids heading out on an adventure with Joe.

Dave swinging the kids

Joe up on the deck

The adults played a few rousing games of darts.
Matt, Lindsay, Haley, Meredith

I went out to watch the kids on the slide and they all started posing for me on their
way down. It was soooo cute!

Carter (he was a little shy)

Adam

Sam
I think this was the most fun he had the whole trip!

Josie
She is not as graceful as the others. She's too scared of going fast
so she kind of crawls down.

Beatrice
So happy to pose!

Adam
He is so funny! He started doing superhero poses on his way down.

Sam
I should edit these pics and lighten them, but I think it's enough that at least I get them up on the blog.
This one would be really cute if it weren't so dark.

Bea

Josie, such a goof

Bea and Sam
LOVE these pictures

The Joseness

Bea, Adam, Sam

Dave, walking the kiddos to the car
It was a bit of a climb up, most of us parked at the bottom of the hill.

What a troop we had! On our way for lunch by the creek.

Haley, James, Wyatt

Todd busy throwing rocks and me busy making sure he's not eating them.

The kids built a nice dam and were able to get the water almost 2 feet deep.
Andy, Josie, Acea, Me, Todd

Josie, cheesin it up.

Sam, Dave, Meredith, Haley(trying to win a water fight), James, Carter, Todd, Joe

Wyatt and Amelia in the pack.
Adam looking like he usually does, up to something heroic.

After more naps, movies, games and dinner, it was time to pack up.

Our whole group, before heading home.
Joe and I feel so blessed to have such great friends.
