Once again it was time for the Davis County Fair.
We had so much fun last year, we couldn't wait to go again.
This year it was a bit of a bust, but the kids still had fun, and
we were home quicker -- that's always a win.
Dad and the kiddos waiting for a pony ride
Josie loves horses!
Todd was a little nervous but he stuck it out, and looked oh so cute.
The petting zoo this year was just a huge pen full of wandering animals.
It was better than just looking at the animals through a fence. The kids loved getting up close.
The turtle was a favorite!
There were llamas and even a small camel.
The poor bunny just wanted to escape the crowd. Josie made him feel better.
The real reason we go to the fair is for the carnival rides. They STUNK this year! The price doubled from last year so you had to pay $3-4 per person, per ride. Yeah, I don't think so. Most of the rides didn't work right anyway, so Josie only got to do one this year.
She loved it. The operator let it go for at least 5 minutes, that was nice.
One tired momma, one grumpy Todd, and one drugged on sugar Josie.
What a fun evening!
Of course it's not a fair without some cotton candy.
Hopefully next year is better!
